David J. Lozier is the current Beaver County District Attorney. He was elected in 2015 and is
seeking re-election in 2019.
David is a native of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania in Westmoreland County. His father was a US Army Career Officer which meant that David's childhood was spent traveling across the United States as his father was transferred from base to base. Through all of these moves and all of the schools, Western Pennsylvania remained "home."
David attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia on an Army ROTC Scholarship. He graduated in 1979 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Infantry and attended both Infantry and Airborne training at Ft. Benning, Georgia. David was transferred to the Aviation Branch and attended US Army Helicopter Training in Ft. Rucker, Alabama. David flew US Army UH-1H Hueys and UH-60 Blackhawks in Korea, Alabama, North Carolina and with the 101 st Airborne in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. David's service included 6 years Army active duty followed by 6 years in the US Army Reserves.
In 1985 David left active Army service to attend Law School at the College of William and Mary. After graduation in 1988 he returned to Western Pennsylvania to work as a trial attorney for the Pittsburgh law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll, now known as Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney PC. From 1990 – 2012 David tried cases across 20 counties in Western Pennsylvania for prestigious law firms, Cauley and Conflenti and then Harry S. Cohen. From 2012 until his election in 2015 David ran his own law practice in Chippewa Township.
David Lozier resides in Chippewa Township with his wife of 28 years, Beth, and their two adult daughters. David and his family formerly resided in Patterson Heights where he served on Borough Council for 12 years, including 10 years as President of Borough Council.
A life-long registered Republican, David served as the Vice Chair for the Beaver County Republican Committee for over 12 years and is a former Republican State Committee Member.
David is a member of Chippewa United Methodist Church, where he has spent over 25 years as a Youth Volunteer, Mission Trip Leader and Youth Sunday School Teacher.
My dad couldn't be happier tonight. He got to talk with his high school football coach. Coach Boone from remember the Titans. I grew up listening to his stories about the team and schools history. It was an honor to meet him. Thanks for everything you both did.
